Using *67 does seem to block my number (to the recipient’s phone caller ID) when making a call, even using a phone card. What will show up on my statement (or log record) of the phone I am making the call from? There should be no charge, as I am using a prepaid card, but I need to know if there will be any record of the call made on the outgoing phone record?

I am divorcing but still in the same house as the soon to be ex. He is trying to trace every call I make or receive. I am trying to preserve my privacy……I don’t want there to be a record on our home phone caller ID or phone log statement that I have made outgoing calls. If I use *67 before calling out, and use a pre-paid phone card, will that prevent my phone from listing the usage?

Thanks so much for any advice anyone can give me. Every call I make freaks out the future ex. I’m tired of explaining all calls, and can’t move yet….so I am trying to block info about outgoing calls I make.

I have a close friend in California who has been living there since the early 90s. She came from the Philippines as a student and applied for a green card. She has attended college and looking for new opportunities. Since that time, she has accomplished a great many things and everything has been lovely until she received a phone call from the Philippines from her father. She had just learn that her mother suddenly passed away from cancer. Her father told her that if she could find some way to attend the funeral, he will extend the funeral viewing prior to burial but the problem is, if my friend goes to the Philippines now for the funeral, she would not be able to come back to the US. To ensure that she will return to the US she has to wait at least eight months for her green card.

Are any loopholes and exceptions in her case where she can go to the Philippines despite not having her green card approved yet so she can pay her final respects to her mom? If you can’t help, could you at least point me in the right direction? Thanks.
